Rate definitions
An annualized distribution rate typically scales one recent payment to a full year and divides by a current market value or NAV. A trailing distribution rate instead sums a defined historical period before dividing by a stated value. Both can change with the numerator, denominator, or payment schedule.
This page calculates neither rate because the accepted history does not store a same-date NAV. That avoids combining a current or stale price with historical payments.
Risk and composition
JEPQ combines a large-cap growth equity portfolio with an options overlay intended to produce monthly income. Payments can vary, and the strategy can limit upside participation while still exposing shareholders to equity losses.
Cash can reflect dividends and options-related income, and final tax treatment depends on issuer tax reporting. Compare the history with price and NAV movement, fees, tax documents, and total return rather than treating distributions as profit.
