Reviewed income scenarios

Dividend Portfolio Calculator

Estimate the blended source-reported yield and distribution income of two to five reviewed ETFs using your own allocation percentages. The calculator also keeps fund operating costs separate, summarizes payout-frequency exposure and shows how much of the allocation carries a price-decay flag.

What this tool calculates

Weighted portfolio yield formula

Blended yield = Σ (fund allocation × source-reported yield). Estimated annual distribution equals the investment amount multiplied by blended yield. Weighted expense ratio uses the same allocation formula, but its operating-cost estimate remains separate from distribution income.

Worked $100,000 example

60% SCHD and 40% JEPI

Using the current reviewed inputs shown in the default tool, a 60/40 allocation produces a 5.00% blended source-reported yield and a $5,000 annual distribution estimate. The 0.18% rounded weighted expense ratio implies approximately $176 in annual operating cost, shown separately rather than deducted from yield.

Does weekly payout mean higher return?

No. Payout frequency describes cadence, not investment return or payment reliability. Monthly and weekly figures here are average equivalents, not a payment calendar. Actual distributions can be uneven, reduced or discontinued, while share-price losses can offset cash received.

Estimates exclude taxes, trading costs, reinvestment and market-price changes. This is an educational scenario, not financial advice or a forecast.
